The greatest privilege in the world is that of being a mother, but it is also the greatest responsibility. We mothers have been given by God the responsibility of bearing a child in our womb until it is fully formed and then bringing it into this world through the process of natural birth, but our responsibility hardly ends there. In fact, thats just the beginning. God has further commissioned us to train up a child in the way he should go, so that when he is old he will not depart from it, (Proverbs 22:6) and whether or not that child follows this way we teach him, we are commissioned by God to pray for him. Our prayers are to be prayers of faith and prayers of wisdom to touch the particular area of our childs need. But does God answer such prayers? Oh, yes He does, and the story contained in this book is one of the many proofs that this is true. I have been blessed by God to be able to minister in some fifty-nine countries, and everywhere I preach His Word and pray with people, He is there to minister to them and meet their need. This same principle holds true with our own families. How could God answer our prayers for the people of remote corners of the earth and not hear our cries when they relate to our own?
