Bonn, Elaine

>> back to author list

At the tender age of five, ELAINE BONN asked her Baptist grandmother, 'Would God heal my ears if you prayed for me?' and her grandmother answered, 'Oh, yes!' They prayed, and Elaine experienced healing immediately. That was the beginning for her, and her serious study of the biblical teachings on healing grace began in 1971.

Elaine was widowed and left with three teenage children to raise. She remarried, this time to a Lutheran pastor, and this began her formal ministry. She established healing teams at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneapolis and began teaching at retreats and conferences around Minnesota.

Then, together, she and her husband attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, graduating in 1989. They returned to the Minneapolis area, where they became members of the staff of Heart for the Nations Bible Training Center. Elaine's teaching responsibilities there include an emphasis on healing.

In January 1999, Elaine established the Healing Rooms of Minnesota in Brooklyn Park and trained healing teams to minister to the sick who came. Since then, she has also trained others, both nationally and internationally, to open healing rooms in their churches or communities. She and her husband are also regional coordinators for the International Association of Healing Rooms in Spokane, Washington.
